Daddy took the day off of work for our little man’s birthday and we had a day filled with fun. First we opened presents at home.
And we went to Dome for some food before going to the Landscape Animal Farm.
He had the best time chasing this baby goat around, touching and interacting with it, and looking at all the animals.
We had a quick play at Atlantis play center (his favourite place) before coming home for dinner and cake with the family. 🙂
We used the left over cake (everyone just ate the cupcakes) from our little man’s party to do a cake smash photo shoot.
He was very unsure on what he was supposed to do and mainly just wanted to eat the decorations on the cake haha. He still had a great time touching and experimenting with the cakes textures and tastes.
In the end, Alfies cake smash turned into a family cake smash. It was very messy but lots of fun.
We hired a room at our local community center to hold our little man’s birthday party. We held it the weekend before his birthday because it was when his uncle was home from Fifo work and his friends in his mother’s group were born 2 days after him which fell on the weekend after his birthday. We had a baby Mickey Mouse theme.

We had a really good time and Alfie enjoyed playing with his friends. He did want to be held for a lot of the part because it was a little overwhelming for him to have all those people watching him.
The balloons were a hit with the babies. I love this picture of Alfie with his partner in crime, Evelyn.

Baabaa made the cakes for us and I iced and decorated them. I was very happy with how they turned out.
We played a game of pin the ears on Alfie, which was lots of fun.
He had his first taste of cake and actually wasn’t a big fan of it haha.
One day I was having a rest on the couch and watching Alfie in my periferals when all of a sudden I realised he was walking towards me with sandy pooey hands.

I had to quickly shower him because he was COVERED! Unfortunately our little man wasn’t very keen on the shower idea and spent the whole time trying to get out and climb on me. While screaming this blood curdling scream like I was trying to kill him.
The next step was to put him on my back so that I could clean it off the floor and toys. By the time I got to it, it had dried and crusted to the floor. So I had to really scrub it to get it off while Alfie was squirming on my back.

He had even taken it outside and rubbed it into an ants nest lol
