Santa Photo

Getting a photo of our little man with Santa was on the top of our ‘Christmas Wish List’ this year so we made sure we got it done nice and early. Unfortunately, we went on a Sunday morning just as the shops were opening and everyone went straight to Santa. We ended up waiting over an hour in line. Alfie was really good but was getting hungry and ready for a nap by the time we saw Santa.

Here’s one of the photos 🙂 we got another one with him smiling too 🙂

The Wanneroo Show

image

We took Lashana and Scarla to the Wanneroo Show. They were so excited! They went on heaps of rides and got a showbag. Ashley took Lashana on a big claw ride which she wasn’t too sure about haha

Alfie was such a good boy and actually slept pretty much the whole time we were there 🙂 when he woke up, we got an awesome wax mould of his foot 🙂

Mother’s Group Christmas in the Park

image

We had a Christmas party in the park with our Mothers Group. We had it a bit early because two of our mums and bubs are heading to the UK for Christmas and we wanted to have it when most people could make it.

We all brought a plate of food to share and did a secret Santa.

All the babies had a great time rolling around and trying to steal the food haha

Visit to BaaBaa and JiiJii’s house

Now that our little man is happier in the car in his new carseat, we decided to have a go driving to BaaBaa and JiiJii’s. It is about a 40 minute drive and our little man did so well. He slept for about the second half of the triponce he had his blanky and was holding my hand.

Once we got there we had some lunch and a play on the floor. Daddy helped with the Chromecast. We had a very nice time 🙂

On the way home, Mummy drove and Alfie was a bit upset. Daddy helped keep him calm by giving him water and his dummy.

It was a good trial run for Christmas because we will be coming back on Christmas day for brunch 🙂

Parenting Fail

On the day our little man turned 6 months, he decided he needed a really long nap. I managed to get him to fall asleep in our king sized bed wrapped in Daddy’s sheet so I let him stay there so as not to disturb him. He ended up sleeping for almost 3 hours. I checked on him so many times over those 3 hours but just after the last time I checked him, I heard this horrible screaming.

Our poor little man had managed to push himself backwards, head first off the bed. I came running into our room and found him with his body stuck between the bedside table and the bed and he was completely covered in Daddy’s sheet.

He was histerical and took a long time to calm down. He had red marks on his leg and on his head. I felt soo terrible! I called the HealthDirect phone line and they said just to keep monitoring him. It is the worst I have ever felt. Later that day I figured out how he ended up on the floor. He started pushing himself backwards on his back with his legs which he hasn’t done before. I positioned him on the bed so that if he rolled he wouldn’t come off.

Luckily he was fine by the afternoon. It was just me that hadn’t got over it. Needless to say, he will never nap on our bed again.
