ByΒ Six Months Old, our little man was 8.6kgs and 67cm long. He loved sitting up,Β eating banana, chewing and wrapping himself up in power cables, rolling all over the floor, watching Bananas in Pyjamas and Mr Maker and coughing and screaming at people.

The Day He Couldn’t Stay Still

A couple of days before our little man was 6 months old, he woke up full of energy, ready to move. He started rolling and moving forwards on his tummy by kicking his legs. It was so exciting to watch. It was like his body wouldnt stop even if his head wanted him too. He got tired (due for a nap) but he couldnt stop moving long enough to fall asleep. So I had to take him for a walk in the pram. He screamed for about a block because he couldnt roll in there but eventually passed out. The poor little guy. He is amazing to watch! πŸ™‚

Geeentle!!

We have started to try to teach our little man to be gentle. He is so strong and pinchy. He is getting a bad habit where he pinches and grabs our faces with his nails which really hurts. We don’t want him doing this to other babies so we are starting to teach him to be gentle.

Aunty Chels’ Birthday

For Aunty Chels’ Birthday we went to Caversham Wildlife Park. It was a really hot day (Alfie’s first one outside) but we managed to see everything. We started with the farm show, where Daddy cracked a whip and then went and saw some other animals including a big fat wombat and we also saw some koalas.

Our little man got really hot and bothered and needed a feed and nap so he slept through some of the animals hehe.

Our little man touched the koala for the first time while I wasn’t looking and I had to make him let go of the handful of fur he had.

After the wildlife park, we had a kiddy party at our place with everyone else. We even picked up Lashana and Scarla as a surprise on the way home.

Crash! Bang!

While Daddy and I were setting up for Aunty Chels’ party, we left our little man sitting on the couch. Before we both knew it, we heard a bang and looked over and Alfie was on the floor. Somehow he managed to throw himself off the couch. Luckily he landed like a cat on all fours and we couldn’t see any bumps or bruises. Needless to say that was the last time we left him on the couch alone.

New Car Seat

A week before Alfie turned 6 months old, he was finally big enough for his new big boy car seat. I had been waiting for this day for ages because he has hated being in his capsule for a couple of months. He loves being able to see us driving and looking out the front window πŸ™‚ He is much happier in there.
