After almost 3 years in our house, we decided to finish our backyard. In order to help out, I wore Alfie on my back. He had a nice nap back there 🙂

By the second week of eating solids, Alfie was really getting the hang of it! He loves his food.

He loves the sippy cup but is still learning how to get water out of it and then what to do with the water 🙂

Here’s our little man after finishing his first bowl of food. It was rice cereal with sweet potato!

We went to The Ashby for JiiJii’s Birthday dinner. Our little man was so good the whole time. He was happy just to sit with Mummy the whole night. The food was yummy but unfortunately we waited about 2 hours for our mains.

While we were there, we saw Elliott and Cooper with their families having dinner. (One from each of my mothers groups) 🙂

On the day that our little man turned 5 months old, he started sitting independently. It was like he just woke up that day and decided that it was the day to do it.

We had to surround him with pillows in case he fell and then within a week, he wasn’t falling anymore but throwing himself forward so we went to 2 pillows, one behind and one infront after he dive bombed forward and got his first bump on the noggin.

 

By Five Months Old, our little man was 8kgs and 66cm long. He loved eating rice cereal, chewing material, reaching for and grabbing everything in front of him (especially food and phones), chewing his toes and looking and smiling at people.

Before Alfie was 5 months old, he started back shuffling and arching his back, rolling to his side to get to objects behind him. It was so cute but he was still refusing to roll after that very first time he did it 🙂

When our little man was 21 weeks old, we went to a park in Hillaries to have a joint BBQ for BaaBaa and JiiJii’s birthdays.

We brought decorations and Mummy made a cake 🙂

It was a fun afternoon with food, footy and playing with Alfie.

Alfie even had his first swing with Mummy and Daddy.
