At almost 4 months old, our little man finally fit into his Alfie hat that Daddy got as a surprise for Mummy when he was born 🙂
First Trip to the Movies
Our little man came with Mummy to the movies for a Mums and Bubs session with our Mothers Group. We saw Vacation. Alfie was the only baby in our group that didn’t go to sleep. He was fascinated by the big screen and enjoyed watching it. He also had a feed during the movie. He was such a good boy 🙂
On the way home from he movies, we stopped off at Ikea to buy a highchair, some feeding bowls etc, and some play mats.
Sleep Regression
Just before Alfie hit 4 months old, he went from sleeping about 10 hours straight to waking up a few times a night. It was a shock to the system and it was hard to adjust to but we made it through. Thank goodness it only lasted a couple of weeks.

Daddy’s First Fathers Day
When our little man was 15 weeks old, we got to celebrate Daddy’s first Fathers Day! Alfie was a really good boy on this day. We got Daddy lots of presents, including a cute outfit, photos, footprint canvas, engraved bracelet, personalised water bottle and many more. We had a special breakfast of waffles (Alfie had milk) and Daddy played with Alfie. In the afternoon, JiiJii came over with BaaBaa, Uncle Adam, Aunty Rhi and Uncle Trent. We had snacks and watched Alfie 🙂
Uncle Adam’s Birthday
At 15 weeks old, our little man came with us to celebrate Uncle Adam’s birthday at a park in Hillarys. The whole family came for a BBQ and to play some cricket/footy.
Alfie fell asleep in the car on the way and stayed asleep in his capsule for a little while so Mummy got to have a kick of the footy and even eat a burger before he woke up. Once he woke up everyone was really happy to see him. He was hungry and then a bit cranky because of the wind (he hates the wind) so I held him in the wrap until it was time to go home 🙂
Catch Phrases
By 15 weeks old, our little man had developed some catch phrases. He has 3 main sounds that he says all the time like they are his words. There is the ‘hoo’ accompanied with a sigh and then ‘agoo’ and ‘nger’ that he says over and over like he is talking. It is adorable and we love all the sounds he makes. He also makes the cutest little horsey noise that sounds like a horse sighing.

Rolling Over
At 14 weeks old, our little man rolled over for the first time. He had been getting so close all morning, rolling onto his side over and over but flopping back to his back. I left him on his back on the floor to go and get dressed and then I came back to find him like this photo. I was so excited that I called Daddy to tell him. It’s typical I missed it but I was so proud of our little man.
We had our check-up with the Child Health Nurse that morning too and everything went really well there. They are pleased with his progress 🙂
