No More Size 000

Our little man is growing so fast. When he was just 9 weeks old, he wore his first 00 outfit. His body is still bigger than his legs haha. His infant nappies were getting too small at this age too but the next size up in the Huggies nappies are too big. We eventually transitioned him to Coles Comfy Bots infant size before using the Crawlers because they seem a little bit bigger and fit better for now.

Baby Cousins

When our little man was 8 weeks old, he first noticed his baby cousin. Alfie’s cousin is 4.5 months older than him and this was the first time they were both awake at the same time. Ajay was reaching out trying to touch our little man when he saw him. They were so cute looking at each other. IMG_20150719_160102 IMG_20150719_160105

Out to Lunch

At 8 weeks old, we took Alfie out to his first family lunch. We went with BaaBaa, JiiJii, Aunty Chels, Lashana and Scarla. Our little man woke up a little bit when we had only been there 30 mins or so but then slept through the whole thing. IMG_20150719_123316 IMG_20150719_123328 IMG_20150719_123324

Clingy Baby

Between 7 and 10 weeks old, our little man was a very clingy baby. He wanted to spend all his time on me during the day and would only sleep on me, waking up whenever I put him down. It was a trying time because during this period he was also cluster feeding all morning (feeding every hour-40mins). It was nice having lots of cuddles though. After this period, he started stretching his feeds out a bit more and I could rock him to sleep for a nap (sometimes).

Sleepy Boy

At 7 weeks old, our little man slept through the night for the first time. He slept 8 hours straight. Before then he was sleeping 4-5 hours at a time. I was so excited to get a full nights sleep.

From 8 weeks onwards, he started sleeping through the night consistently. He was averaging 7-9 hours straight and then would usually go down for another sleep straight after.

By 10 weeks old, he was sleeping 10 hours straight. Every 10 nights or so he will wake up in the middle of the night. I think this is to keep my milk supply up.

Of course he cluster feeds all night before his big sleep, but this is something I am definitely happy to live with in order to get a long interrupted sleep. 🙂
